PocketLog is a self-contained, offline-first personal finance tracking tool. It is designed to help users manually record and categorize their financial transactions, set local budgets, and generate analytical reports on their device hardware.
2. NO FINANCIAL OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
PocketLog is a software utility, not a financial institution.
- Information Only: All data, charts, and "Smart Insights" are generated for informational purposes based on your manual input.
- No Fiduciary Duty: PocketLog does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice.
- Accuracy: You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. PocketLog is not liable for financial decisions made based on app estimations.
3. TOTAL DATA SOVEREIGNTY
Because PocketLog is an offline application, our technical architecture places you in 100% control of your data.
- No Cloud Recovery: We do not store your data on our servers. We have NO WAY to recover your history if you lose your phone, uninstall the app, or clear your device cache.
- Backup Obligation: You are solely responsible for exporting and securing your data via the local PDF Export feature.
- Device Security: You are responsible for maintaining the physical security of your device.
4. BIOMETRIC SECURITY USAGE
- Opt-in Feature: Enabling Biometric Lock (Face ID/Fingerprint) is an optional security layer provided for your convenience.
- Hardware Dependency: The reliability of this feature depends on your device's hardware and operating system. PocketLog is not responsible for any unauthorized access resulting from compromised device-level security.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- Ownership: The software code, design, brand name "PocketLog," and all original UI elements are the intellectual property of the developer.
- User Content: All transaction data and custom categories you create remain your property and reside only on your device.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- Inaccurate data entry.
- Hardware failure or device loss.
- Software bugs or analytical discrepancies.
- Unauthorized physical access to your device.
7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
POCKETLOG IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE ERROR-FREE, OR BE COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY FUTURE OPERATING SYSTEM UPDATE.
8. ADVERTISEMENTS
PocketLog is a free application supported by advertising through Google AdMob.
- Ad Content: We do not endorse the products or services advertised.
- Data Usage: AdMob uses standard device identifiers to serve ads. Your personal financial data entered into PocketLog is never shared with ad networks.
- User Experience: We strive to ensure ads do not interfere with the core functionality of the app. By using PocketLog, you agree to the display of these advertisements.
9. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the application after an update constitutes your agreement to the revised Terms. You can check the "Effective Date" at the top of this page for the latest version.
10. TERMINATION
You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app and deleting your local data. As we do not store your data, uninstallation is final and results in the permanent loss of all app-related information.
11. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be settled in the appropriate courts of said jurisdiction.
